Domain redirecting refers to the process of sending traffic from one domain to another. This is accomplished by configuring web server settings or using DNS records to ensure that when someone tries to visit one domain, they are automatically taken to another.
Example https://my_domain.co.za to be redirected to https://my_other_ domain.co.za
Step 1.
Login
Log in to your account https://my.astrihost.com/index.php
- From the dashboard, click on ‘Login to Control Panel‘
Step 2.
Redirects
- Scroll down to the ‘Domains‘ section
- Click ‘Redirects‘ option.
Step 3.
Create Redirect
- Select the Type of redirect from the dropdown menu. (permanent or temporary)
- Select the Domain to be redirected.
- Enter the URL name. (Leave blank when redirecting a Domain)
Step 4.
Add Redirect
- Enter the new Domain. (include URL name for single page redirects.)
- Select a ‘www redirection‘ option.
- Click on the ‘Add‘ button.
Your redirect is successful
Step 5.
Confirmation
- Click on the ‘Delete Filter’ button to confirm the action.
The filter is successfully removed.
